Wow… I’ll have to visit next time I’m near there!
Hi Lois, There was much controversy at the time. They were painted by Duncan Grant and Quentin Bell of the Bloomsbury set. As pacifists they avoided military service.
How interesting! Definitely on my list! My daughter lives in Brighton now, so in the same area!
If you are in the area, make sure you visit Charleston. That is where the artists lived, including Virginia Woolf.
