Many thanks for your comment. As far as I know it was built this way by the Victorians. It’s a fascinating place if you are into big machines.
I should have used an HDR technique on this photo to avoid burning out the light bulb and the windows while preserving the details in the darker areas.
I like a bit of burn-out where appropriate – The bulbs and window are OK for me!
You and me both, but I entered this photo into a competition and the judge commented on the burn-out! But what do judges really know? 🙂
