    Many thanks for your comment. As far as I know it was built this way by the Victorians. It’s a fascinating place if you are into big machines.
    I should have used an HDR technique on this photo to avoid burning out the light bulb and the windows while preserving the details in the darker areas.

  4. You and me both, but I entered this photo into a competition and the judge commented on the burn-out! But what do judges really know? 🙂
